Angie Thirkell
Angie Thirkell was born on a farm in Zimbabwe, and spent her childhood at boarding school in Harare.
​
In 1982 she graduated with a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Cape Town, then spent the next 20 years working in IT in Cape Town, London & Philadelphia. Her travels also included working and living in France.
​
Once her children were older and settled at school, she decided to go back to University to study Ceramics, graduating with a BA (Hons) from Buckinghamshire New University in 2011.
​
After a number of years teaching ceramics, in 2017 she was accepted at Central Saint Martins in London to do an MA in Ceramic Design.
​
Whilst studying there she was nominated for the prestigious Nova Award.
